The lifeboat was launched to assist two jet skis that had run aground on the Horse Sand in the Swale. Two members of the crew assisted in dragging the jet skis back to the water's edge, and the lifeboat then escorted the craft as far as Whitstable.

Herne Bay Mobile Coastguard unit then kept them under observation until they returned safely to Herne Bay.
