The lifeboat launched to a yacht drifting off the entrance to Faversham Creek. The unoccupied yacht was located aground just to the west of the creek entrance, having broken it's mooring. The owner was located, and reboarded the boat, to await the next tide.

The lifeboat was then requested to search the River Swale following reports of red flares. The lifeboat searched as far as Kingsferry Bridge, but nothing was found.
