The lifeboat launched to investigate a sailboard drifting off Tankerton. As there were no signs of recent occupation, the board was brought aboard the lifeboat for landing back at Whitstable.

 Thames Coastguard then requested the lifeboat to proceed to the Pollard Spit Buoy, where a passing yacht had reported a drifting dinghy. This proved to be a moored workboat from the windfarm project, and not in need of any assistance.
