The lifeboat launched to assist a 15' angling dinghy with two people on board, broken down off Bishopstone. The dinghy carried an emergency outboard engine in case the main engine failed but unfortunately this had broken down too.

The dinghy was taken under tow and landed ashore at Neptune Jetty, Herne Bay, and met by the Herne Bay mobile Coastguard unit.
