Thames Coastguard requested the lifeboat to launch following a call from a lady ashore who was concerned about a boat off Warden Bay, Isle of Sheppey. On arrival, the occupants were found to be fishing, and not in need of any assistance. 

However, as it was almost dark and the boat did not have any navigation lights, the lifeboat escorted the dinghy as it returned to Whitstable.
