Details Thames CG received several 999 calls regarding a man who was swimming out to sea off Tankerton Bay Sailing Club in pursuit of his dog. As the lifeboat arrived on scene, the man and his dog were wading ashore in shallow water, and no assistance was required. The lifeboat therefore returned to station.
