The lifeboat was launched to assist an 18' speedboat reported to be sinking off Leysdown.  The lifeboat located the craft, which had two adults and an 11 year old boy on board, aground near the Ham Gat Buoy.  The water was only coming in whilst the engine was running, so the boat was taken in tow for Whitstable, and moored in the harbour.
