The lifeboat was launched to investigate a canoe which had been reported drifting one mile off Daniel's Court, Whitstable.

The condition of the canoe suggested that it had not been used for some time, so it was brought aboard the lifeboat, and a brief search of the area carried out before the lifeboat returned to station.
