The lifeboat launched to assist an inflatable dinghy, reported by a member of the public to be drifting offshore from Leysdown..

Arriving on scene, the lifeboat commenced a search. However at 1628 another member of the public informed the coastguard that the dinghy had already made it safely ashore.
