Details

The lifeboat was launched following reports of a capsized dinghy off Keam's Yard, Whitstable.

The lifeboat located the single occupant in the water 300 yards offshore, holding onto his boat, with the sail and part of the mast floating approximately 50 yards away.

The man was brought aboard the lifeboat, and the dinghy towed alongside. En route back to the beach,  the sail and mast were also recovered.
