The lifeboat was launched to assist Coastguards and Police who had been searching for two children missing from Seasalter.

The lifeboat commenced a search from the harbour to off the Sportsman Public House at Seasalter but just as the Coastguard were about to expand the search the two children aged 10 and 11 were located near to the Neptune Public House having approached a family and told them that they were lost and asked for them to contact their parents.
