Details

Whitstable Lifeboat was launched at 19.26 on Sunday evening following a report of an 18-foot speedboat aground off Leysdown on the Isle of Sheppey.

The lifeboat located the casualty with its two occupants aground on the Columbine Spit and stood by the craft until it refloated when the vessel then made its own way back to Chatham Marina.
