Details

Whitstable Lifeboat was launched to assist a 20' speedboat broken down two miles offshore  between Herne Bay and Reculver.

On arrival, it was found that the Canterbury City Council patrol boat had also proceeded and had the craft under tow. The lifeboat therefore returned to station.
