The lifeboat launched to assist a dinghy reported in
difficulties 2 miles off Leysdown. However on arrival the occupants stated
that they were awaiting the tide to return to the beach, and did not need
any assistance.
The lifeboat was then diverted to a small dinghy a
mile to the north. The occupant was having difficulty rowing ashore, so
the lifeboat towed the dinghy back to the shore.
Thames CG then requested the lifeboat to proceed to
an angling dinghy having engine problems in the vicinity of the wind farm.
The lifeboat located the dinghy, which had managed
to restart its engine, and escorted it ashore to Herne Bay Harbour.
