Thames Coastguard requested Whitstable Lifeboat to launch following a report of a small dinghy with one person on board drifting in the Swale. 

The lifeboat located the dinghy aground off Nagden Marshes. the occupant having made it safely ashore. The dinghy was then recovered from the shore, a difficult task given the very soft mud in the area, and taken in tow for Whitstable.
