Details

Thames CG requested the lifeboat to launch having received a 999 call from the crew of a Mirror dinghy in Whitstable Bay stating that their rudder had broken.

The lifeboat located the dinghy a mile off Preston Parade, Seasalter. The occupants were brought aboard the lifeboat, and the dinghy taken in tow alongside for West Beach, Whitstable.
