Thames CG requested the lifeboat to launch to a windsurfer reported in difficulties off Long Rock, Swalecliffe.

When the lifeboat arrived on scene a local kayaker, who had paddled out to assist,  was towing him ashore. 

The windsurfer was brought aboard the lifeboat, and landed ashore at Tankerton, to be met by Herne Bay Mobile CG team.
