The lifeboat launched to assist a Mirror dinghy off the West Beach, Whitstable. The dinghy had earlier capsized, and been successfully righted, but the rigging had become damaged in the process.

The single occupant was brought aboard the lifeboat, and the dinghy towed back to the lifeboat station.
