Details

The lifeboat was launched after a 21' speedboat with one person on board  reported an engine fire.

The lifeboat located the casualty at anchor 300 yards off Beltinge, between Herne Bay and Reculver.  The fire was now out, and so the boat was towed back to the launching ramp in Herne Bay harbour.
