Thames CG requested the lifeboat to launch following a report of two men and a dog in the sea at Reculver.

When the lifeboat arrived the men had safely made the shore, but the dog was still in the water swimming around. The lifeboat maneuvered to steer the dog back towards the beach, where it was reunited with its owner.
