The Lifeboat launched to assist the 34' yacht "Swiss Miss", which had run aground east of the Spile buoy. As the vessel could not be safely towed off, the lifeboat stood by the casualty at the request of the coastguard until the vessel could refloat on the rising tide.

At 20:28, the yacht was refloated and, after checking the boat and crew were unharmed, the lifeboat returned to station.
