The lifeboat was launched to a 34' yacht Dayspring at Harty Ferry that had caught a mooring rope around its propellor and keel.

The lifeboat crew spent some time trying to free the yacht from the obstruction, including  attempting to tow it clear, but to no avail.

As the occupants were happy to stay on board, the lifeboat was released to return to station, with arrangements being made for a commercial towing vessel to attend the following morning.
