Thames CG requested the lifeboat to search the area of Harty Ferry and Faversham Creek entrance following multiple reports of red flares.

Coastguard teams from Herne Bay and Sheppey also searched along the shoreline.

The lifeboat crew spoke to the occupants of several moored yachts, but with nothing untoward found, the search was terminated, and the lifeboat returned to station.
