Details The lifeboat launched to assist an inflatable dinghy broken down off Herne Bay Pier. The two occupants were in the water, trying to swim the dinghy ashore. When the lifeboat arrived on scene the dinghy and the two men had just come ashore on the beach. They were cold and exhausted, but otherwise unharmed.
