Whitstable Lifeboat was launched when a 6-metre RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat) with five adults and two children onboard broke down with electrical failure in the north east corner of the wind farm.

The lifeboat took the craft in tow and returned it to its mooring of the Long Beach and landed the occupants ashore at the lifeboat station.
