The lifeboat launched to a report of a dinghy possibly in difficulties off Leysdown.

The lifeboat found the craft, a bright pink inflatable with no paddles, half a mile offshore. 

The two eighteen year old occupants, and the dinghy,  were brought aboard the lifeboat, and then landed ashore to be met by Sheppey Coastguard. 

They later explained that the reason they were so far out was that they had wanted to visit the windfarm ( a further seven miles out from where they were picked up)
