The lifeboat launched to assist a kitesurfer reported in difficulties off Seasalter.

Although the casualty was only in shallow water, due to the state of the tide, he was nevertheless three quarters of a mile offshore, and quite exhausted. He was therefore brought aboard the lifeboat, along with his board and rig, and landed ashore at the lifeboat station.
