Date 28th August 2007
Casualty Inflatable dinghy thought to be in trouble
Wind E 3-4
Launch time 1436
Recovery Time 1451
Crew John Croft, Henry Thomson, Craig Sidders
Details

The lifeboat was launched after people ashore expressed concern for a small orange inflatable dinghy a mile off Long Rock, Swalecliffe.

The lifeboat located the dinghy and spoke to the occupants, who it transpired were fishing, and in no need of assistance.

The lifeboat therefore returned to station, with the call classified as a false alarm, with good intent.
