The lifeboat launched to a report of a jet ski with
three people on board waving for assistance 3/4 mile off Herne Bay.
When the lifeboat arrived at 1802 the jet ski, now
with one person on board, was being towed into Herne Bay harbour by
another jet ski.
The other two occupants, an adult female and a
child, had already been brought ashore by a passing angling dinghy.
The family reported that they had only recently
purchased the craft, and were out on it for the first time when it
capsized, then flooded.
