The lifeboat launched to a 23' yacht in the Swale,
which had gone aground earlier in the day after having suffered engine
failure. The two occupants had requested assistance and a tow for when
they refloated.
The lifeboat found the yacht near the entrance to
South Deep, and stood by until the tide had risen sufficiently to refloat
the yacht. It was towed off the mud, and then placed on a mooring in South
Deep, south of Fowley Island.
The occupants elected to stay on board their craft,
and the lifeboat then returned to station.
