The lifeboat was diverted from a routine training exercise to assist a jet ski reported broken down off Hampton Pier.

The lifeboat located the craft 1/4 mile west of the pier. The occupant was brought aboard the lifeboat, and the jet ski taken under tow.

Both were then landed ashore back at the launching ramp, and the lifeboat continued with its exercise.
