Thames Coastguard paged the lifeboat crew to launch following several 999 calls reporting a capsized sailing dinghy with two people in the water off the Neptune pub, Whitstable.

The lifeboat located the craft 400 yards offshore, with a sailing school safety boat assisting the crew to right it.

The lifeboat then took the dinghy in tow, and landed it ashore at Whitstable Yacht Club ramp, to be met by Herne Bay Coastguard team.
