Details The lifeboat was launched after a member of the public at Daniels Court; Whitstable reported a sailing dinghy adrift off Whitstable. The lifeboat located the craft, a laser 2000 dinghy, 2 miles offshore with sails set and its centreboard down but still attached to its launching trolley. The crafts sails were stowed and the lifeboat crew managed to separate the dinghy from its trolley before towing it back to the ramp at Whitstable Yacht Club.
