The lifeboat launched to search for a jet ski reported overdue after having launched from the Seaview Caravan Site, Studd Hill.

The lifeboat searched as far as Herne Bay Harbour, then sighted a jet ski being towed by a speedboat approximately one and a half miles offshore.

This proved to be the missing craft. The lifeboat took over the tow, and the jet ski and its occupant were subsequently landed ashore back at the launching ramp, to be met by Herne Bay Coastguard.
