Details Thames Coastguard requested the lifeboat to launch following a 999 call reporting a child in an inflatable dinghy drifting out of sight off Walden's Caravan Park, Seasalter. Four minutes after launching the lifeboat crew located the girl 1 mile north east of Seasalter Sailing Club, apparently trying to reach Sheppey. The girl and the dinghy were brought onboard the lifeboat and landed ashore at Seasalter where her parents were waiting. The girl who was 12 and came from Middlesex, was unharmed by her adventure.
