The lifeboat launched to assist an inflatable
dinghy, with two people on board, which was in difficulties near the
entrance to Faversham Creek. The dinghy was the tender to a large motor
cruiser moored at Harty Ferry, and was trying to return to the vessel
after a visit ashore in blizzard conditions.
The lifeboat located the dinghy and towed it back to
the motor cruiser. The two occupants were very cold, so the lifeboat
remained alongside until it was established that no medical attention was
required.
The lifeboat then returned to station.
