Details

As the lifeboat was being recovered up the beach from a previous incident, Thames Coastguard reported an inflatable dinghy being blown offshore from Leysdown.

The lifeboat relaunched, and was on scene at 1857. The three male occupants were in the water, holding on to the dinghy in an attempt to swim it ashore. They and the dinghy were brought aboard the lifeboat, and then landed ashore on the beach, to be met by Sheppey Coastguard.

The lifeboat then returned to station.
