Thames Coastguard requested the lifeboat to launch to a 21' speedboat aground on the Horse Sands, in the Swale. It was 2 hours after HW.

When the lifeboat  arrived on scene the speedboat was found to be already high and dry, with no prospect of towing it off.

After discussions with the lifeboat crew, the three occupants made arrangements for a friend with a boat to come and collect them, and then return them back to the speedboat when it refloats at around 8pm this evening.

The lifeboat then returned to station.
