The lifeboat launched to a report of two broken down jetskis off Hampton, Herne Bay. Thames Coastguard had received multiple 999 calls, reporting people in the water, waving for help.

On arrival the lifeboat found the jetskis on the beach east of Hampton Pier, having been assisted by a passing RIB. Having ascertained that all persons were accounted for, the lifeboat then went to assist a 30' angling boat, broken down with a fuel blockage and dragging her anchor 100 yards west of Herne Bay Harbour.

A towline was passed, and a crewman was put aboard to assist the single occupant to recover the anchor as the lifeboat took up the weight. The boat was then towed into Herne Bay Harbour, and moored alongside the launching ramp.

The lifeboat then headed back  to Whitstable, but before returning to the carriage, searched between Whitstable and Seasalter for a kitesurfer seen in difficulties earlier. With nothing found, the lifeboat returned to station.
