The lifeboat launched to assist a 16' angling boat, with two people on board, which had broken down off Herne Bay. The occupants were unsure of their exact position, but believed they were east of the windfarm.

After a short search the craft was located about three miles north of Bishopstone. A lifeboat crewman was placed aboard, to help recover the anchor, and the boat taken in tow for Herne Bay.

The dinghy was landed ashore at Neptune Jetty, and met by Herne Bay Coastguard.
