The lifeboat launched to assist a sailing dinghy, with one person on board, reported to be capsized and in difficulties off Seasalter.

When the lifeboat arrived on scene the dinghy had been righted with the assistance of a crewmember from a passing catamaran, who had remained on board the dinghy to help the occupant sail back towards the beach. 

The dinghy was taken under tow by the lifeboat and landed ashore at Preston Parade, where lifeboat crew members and a friend of the owner assisted in recovering it onto its launching trolley.
